What will you be doing?

• Take ownership of SQL databases, ensuring high availability, strong performance, and robust backup strategies.
• Optimize database performance by monitoring health, optimizing queries, indexes, and overall architecture.
• Develop and maintain backup plans and disaster recovery strategies for the database systems.
• Manage databases on AWS, ensuring reliability and scalability through cloud services.
• Contribute to API development using Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript, integrating database functionality with backend systems.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SQL database management, including backups, high availability, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3) for managing databases in the cloud.
• Strong Linux skills to ensure smooth operations in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript for API development.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating databases into larger systems; familiarity with microservices architecture is a plus.

Supplementary Qualifications

• NoSQL knowledge is a bonus.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment (frontend, backend, embedded).
